Blog Special: Surviving High School

Welcome to another one of our ~blog specials~ 

 Since we know how tough it can be to settle into a new environment, new school and new peers, we are going to give you some handy tips on surviving High school.

Be on time!!

That means, be ready and out of the house 15 minutes before the school bell rings. Then make it to all your classes 2 minutes before the bell rings for class so that if you get lost, you have plenty of time to not be late.

Be ORGANIZED!!

 If it means you waking up at 6am every morning just to organize your bag, uniform, homework and your study area, then go for it. Organization is one of the most important skills your expected to learn in high school. Use your homework diary to record any given homework. Dont forget to record when the homework is due so you know when to hand it in. Make a home timetable so you can track what you do every day. This is very useful because it can help you to do everything at the right time. Know what equipment you should take to school each day for your lessons and prepare it the day before.

 Look after yourself!!!
 Feeling good is a big confident booster. So no matter what the weather, eat well and keep fit. Do things you love to do like joining a club that you will actually look forward to going to every week. Try and make lots of friends. Having a social life can help you look forward to school each day. Learn a few things from the right crowds. If you get interested in makeup, practice first at home on the weekend so you get used to it. so when there is a party at school, you will be more experienced and know what to do. It's the same with anything else you might be into. Practice makes perfect.

 

 

Make good trustworthy friends
Here at the latest, we love people who are friendly. Everybody has something to contribute to you. Don't sacrifice your grades, but have fun, both in school and out of it. For example find a group of friends that you can hang out with both in and out of school. High school is a time for you to also enjoy with friends! Sitting in a crowded cafeteria all alone can be the hardest part of being social. It's hard, if not impossible to get through high school happily and successfully without at least a few friends. Find people who you get along with - people who appreciate you for who you are, and who improve your overall life performance. These people will make you feel better about life, and help get you through school.



Bullies.

Here at the latest we are against any type of bullying and you should be too. The one thing that all you victims should put as your first priority, is to tell a trust worthy adult. DO NOT SURFER IN SILENCE. A good movie that we love here at the latest is called Cyber bully and it stars Emily Osment.

 Stay on your teachers' good sides. You don't have to be the teacher's pet, but neither do you need to spend a year avoiding a teacher who doesn't seem interested in helping you or who is rude to you. Try to make friends of teachers. After all, you never know when you may later need one of them to give you a letter of recommendation! Don't be afraid to ask them for help - asking for help is a sign of strength and maturity.

 High school is not like the movies. Everyone pretty much talks to everyone and the kids aren't as bad as they seem. But you can still get bullied, so be careful! We hope this post has atleast helped you in some way. One more thing you need to remember though, Keep a diary if you feel you have no one to talk to. It is very useful and will help you get better at your writing in school. so we just have to say, enjoy highschool!!

It's that time of  the month where you music fans start to wonder what our top 5 hits are? well, wonder no more cos we are ready to give you the best hits to listen to.

At number 5, we have a late entry that we just love, love, love to listen to. Check out Party by Beyonce...

 Now, we are never ever ever getting bored of this song. At number 4 it's the amazing Taylor Swift with we are never getting back together.

SO to spice it up a little,  at number 3, we went on the hunt for a good dance video to this cool, fun hit from Ne-yo- let me love you.

O.M.G We never thought that the Gorgeous Trey Songz could ever release a hit that would make us even more in love with him. But he proved us wrong with this very romantic song from Mr Songz himself being simply amazing. Here's a cover by Brian j and his awesome voice that convinced us that this song was right here at number 2.

What is WATTPAD?

Welcome to one of the most important posts on this blog that you will ever read. We know some of you might be wondering or have never even known what WATTPAD is. So that is why we're here.

What is wattpad?

This is the perfect app for all you brilliant people who love reading so much. We don't mean you just love reading, we mean you love it so much that you sometimes stay up until 12am reading a book. Here at the latest we can't resist a good book. And that's why we can't hide this awesome app from you anymore. 

Wattpad is a reading site where you can read all types of genres of books. Reading is very important in life and the best reading is done when you choose the type of books you like. When you read something you like, you grow so into the genre and this is how a reader is born. Readers as well as writers are like super hero's. They are constantly thinking of new ideas and ways to improve the story and coming up with very imaginative endings. The reason we love, love, love wattpad, is because readers and writers can all get together on this amazing site. You can write a book for others to read or you can read one yourself.

So how do you get the app?

Well, you can download it on your phone, ipad, iPod and any other device that can have apps. You can get the app from Google play or from Wattpad.com. Some phones can only download the java version. so watch out when your downloading it.
